I’m excited be making my debut as a Speed Leader on Wednesday.
The run will meet at the usual spot near the Hamilton statue. Please wear Red for Res Dogs Red Week.
Choose the set that’s right for you.
A:
1. 4x1200m @ 10K tempo with 1’ jog recovery
2. 4×45” strides, back and forth, 1’ rest.
B:
1. 6x1200m @ 10K tempo with 1’ jog recovery
2. 6×45” strides, back and forth, 1’ rest.
1200’ is just past the Reservoir, before the 97th Street traffic lights. I’ll put down a cone.
Strides will be south of the start and back. When you get to Cleopatra’s Needle, it’s time to check your watch to see if you need to stop.
What Are Strides?
Strides are very fast running with exaggerated running form. It is not an all-out, chased-by-a-tiger effort, but rather 85 to 90% of all out. If you want to attach a race-pace effort, it’s about your mile race pace.
