Beginning in June 2020 we shifted our run start locations and, in some cases, start times in recognition that many members were working from home and preferred an earlier start for evening runs. We expect the timings below to continue through the summer and will be evaluated in the fall if/when more members begin regular commuting again. If you are new and interested in joining us for a run, please email us!
We offer four official group runs each week, which are described below. Runs go on in (almost) any weather and in all seasons. For the latest news on any given run, visit the Message Board.
All of our regularly scheduled runs start and end in Central Park at light pole E8301 behind The Met and near the Hamilton statue, unless otherwise noted on the Message Board. (Wed speed is occasionally hosted outside of the Park, and look out for Saturday destination runs from time to time.)
Monday Night Run (MNR)
Group run with pace groups ranging from 10-minute to 6-minute miles. Choose a 4-, 5- or 6-mile loop in Central Park and join for food and drink after at Dorrian’s on 2nd Avenue at 84th Street.
Wednesday Night Speed
Speed workout for improved performance at all levels. All paces welcome. Check message board for upcoming workouts throughout Central Park, which may include Cat Hill repeats, 800m loops around the Great Lawn and more!
Thursday Night Run (TNR)
Evening group run–choose a 4-, 5-mile loop in Central Park (expect pace to be 8:30mm or faster).
Saturday Morning Group Run (SMGR)
Five-mile group run along the bridle path (option to add one or two miles) followed by brunch.
Come on a few runs with us and see what you think. If you like it and keep coming back, we ask that you consider becoming a member. For more info visit the Membership page.
