Where: MEET AT GREAT HILL TRACK, near drinking fountain and bathroom on north side

Workout: Yasso 800s (4-6 x 800 meters; jog about 450 meters at easy pace for recovery)
Yasso 800s is a workout involving 800 meter repeats at a pace determined by your ‘goal marathon finishing time’. If your goal marathon finishing time is 4 hours and 00 minutes, then you would aim to run your 800 meter repeats in 4 minutes and 00 seconds. If your goal marathon finishing time is 3 hours and 15 minutes, then you would aim to run your 800 meter repeats in 3 minutes and 15 seconds, and so on.
If you are not training for a marathon or never plan to run one, you can estimate a finishing time based on what you think you could do. No distance racing experience required!
Forecast: mid 60s and fab evening views of midtown.
This is a great experience for runners of all abilities. You will be in sight of all participants at all times of the workout, and you will be able to run these repeats in a group of like-paced individuals on a dirt surface.
I look forward to seeing you there!
Jay
