Wednesday’s speed workout will be in Central Park and we’ll be doing hill repeats on Cat Hill.
WE WILL MEET AT THE USUAL WEDS NIGHT SPOT (SOUTHERN PUMP HOUSE, ~E 84TH ST, BEHIND THE MET) AT 7:30 PM. We will jog together to the start of the workout at the bottom of Cat Hill (just outside the Loeb Boathouse), if you’d prefer to meet there in time for a 7:40 start.
The workout:
1. 4-6 x efforts, running up to the top of the hill at 5k pace; recovery jog/walk on the way back down to the start
2. 4-6 x hard efforts for 1 minute (you likely won’t get to the top of the hill); recovery jog/walk back down
I’d recommend that you bring a watch. I won’t be running the workout so will be happy to hold some small items so that you can get the most out of your workout.
PLEASE NOTE: if there are any updates to the plan (e.g., as a result of weather), I will post an update by 5:30 PM Wednesday. Please keep an eye out.
