Res Dogs, how long has it been since we did some quality work on (arguably) NYC’s most beautiful single block with a brick surface? Too long!
This Wednesday (26 May) we will run repeats on the gentle incline of East 91st between Second and Third, long one of our favorite workouts. It’s ridiculous how good you’ll feel after this session, in part because of the multitude of encouragement and cheering Res Dogs give each other during every repeat.
PLEASE SIGN UP for the workout at this link so we can track attendance:
We are being considerate of our fellow Res Dogs awaiting double vaccination or antibody day (yay!) by socially distancing and masking up when not running. During repeats, though, mask off if you wish!
WE WILL MEET AT EAST 91ST AND THIRD AVENUE AT 630p WEDNESDAY and NOT AT THE USUAL SPOT IN CENTRAL PARK behind The Met. There will be a short warmup, although best to arrive prepared.
The workout:
8-12 repeats, working on the uphill and recovery on the downhill
Bring your watch please! We will target 85-percent effort for each repeat, remembering the time for the first 2-3 and then making every effort to run successive repeats within 2-4 seconds of that time.
I am happy to watch backpacks, extra layers, fluid bottles and chocolate delicacies. Bring your watch!
Brett
