KeymasterTRD needs YOU!
As we settle into new routines at this stage in the pandemic and welcome more new members, it’s time to revisit our club staffing and fill some gaps that have been open for a while, some since pre-COVID. Please see below for current open positions. I tried to give a little flavor of the commitment for each. If you’re at all interested in a position, or want to nominate a fellow member to serve, please be in touch. Happy to talk more about each role and how to make it work for individuals and the club overall.
Thanks in advance for your contributions and looking forward to expanding the team that helps keep the club running (pun intended)!
Please be in touch at trdpres@gmail.com or find me at an upcoming run, preferably by October 18.
Best,
DOPEN POSITIONS
MNR co-leader: Brian needs a co-host! The MNR co-leader will share posting and hosting duties for our weekly Monday Night Run and post-run dinner/drinks at Dorrian’s. If you’re already an MNR regular, consider trying your hand at co-host.
Speed leader(s): As a speed leader, you can expect to host a Wednesday workout on average every 4 to 5 weeks. As host, you’ll be expected to post the workout, meet the group to explain the workout and offer encouragement during the workout itself. While speed hosts often design workouts, you can lean on our speed coordinator to help come up with your weekly offering if you need assistance (thanks, Pete!). And, for some stretches we have race-specific speed plans (e.g., ahead of the Brooklyn Half, a popular race for our club) so in those instances you’d host the designated workout for your week. If you’re looking to dip your toe in the hosting water but can’t commit to a weekly gig, this is for you!
Treasurer: This individual manages club finances, including reconciling gear orders, club dues, processing occasional payments/reimbursements and working with officers on an annual budget for club activities. No previous finance experience is required but a love (or at least tolerance) for Excel/Google sheets and attention to detail are very helpful for this role.
Webmaster: This individual is responsible for occasional web maintenance for the club’s website, http://www.thereservoirdogs.com. It’s a WordPress site and while previous experience in website maintenance is great, we are happy to train someone.
