This week, we will run down Summer Streets, an annual event where Park Ave is closed down from cars!

From our usual meeting spot, go to E 72nd, run down on Park Ave, it will turn into Lafayette. Run to the end, near City Hall. Water stops will be stationed every few miles (see Summer Str site) and in years past, free Coco Water was given out near the City Hall/Bk Bridge station.
~5.5 mi

– 9:30 am – meet at the SE bridge to the reservoir at 84th Street, behind the MET, same place as Wed
– forecast is low 70s, mostly cloudy
Paces will range from 7-10 min/mi. We will leave as one group and will regroup afterwards for brunch 🙂 Brunch will be at Industry Kitchen, just south of the seaport. It actually opens at 11 am, but due to the heavy foot/bike traffic and multiple red lights along the way, be prepared to finish a little later than your usual 5 miler.
See yall there!
Looking to get in extra miles before SMGR?
Meet at Engineers Gate (East Drive @ 90th St) at 8AM for 10 miles in Central Park. We will be running ~8:30 pace and will plan to finish at Southern Pump House at 9:30 to join SMGR for Summer Streets & brunch!
