As you’re all well aware, there’s no organized run this weekend. But, that doesn’t mean folks can’t run on their own and brunch it up!
Might I suggest this four-part agenda:
1) Plan a route, preferably not on the most-crowded path at the busiest time of day. The BK Half plan calls for 8-11 easy miles. And wherever you are, whether solo or with 1-2 friends, keep 6ft of distance. Seriously. DO IT. Even if it’s awkward. (BONUS: All that weaving to maintain your distance gets extra mileage.)
2) Check out the TRD tempo list on Spotify. Add your favorite track and download the playlist before heading out on your run.
3) Pre-order brunch!!! Two of our go-to SMGR brunch spots are doing takeout or delivery via GrubHub, let’s help them out. For east siders check out Duke’s, and if you’re on the west side, check out Hi-Life. And if you’re a little farther afield these days, find a local restaurant that could use your business!
4) Be virtually social! Share your run and/or brunch. Tag us on your favorite social media platform (@resdogsnyc) and post your run to Strava.
And with that, hopefully we’ll all feel a little more connected.
Be well,
D
