Week 2 training details here. Hopefully we can avoid severe thunderstorms this week! 🙂
Tuesday, August 14th
Meet for warm up: Engineers gate at 7:05pm
Meet for workout: 400 mark behind the Met (approximately 84th street east drive) at 7:30pm
Workout: 1-2 mile warm up (starting at 7:05pm or on your own), 2-3 x 400m/800m/1200m at HMGP (half marathon goal pace) on 400m jog recovery, 1-2 mile cool down
Where: Along Park drive from ~e84th St to ~e100th St
Thursday August 16th
Meet for warm up: Engineers gate at 7:05pm
Meet for workout: Engineers gate at 7:30pm
Workout: 1-2 mile warm up, 3-4 mile progression run: 1-2 miles @ MGP, 1 mile @ half marathon goal pace, 1 mile @ 10KGP, 1-2 cool down
Where: We will be doing the 4 mile loop of the park; 3 mile group will jog the last mile back to Engineer’s, 4 mile group will complete the full loop at pace.
Saturday, August 18th
On your own
Workout: 13-17 easy miles total
