Please see below for information on access to the Local Competitive corral for the 2017 NYC marathon. If you are registered for the marathon, meet these time standards and want to access the local competitive corral, please email me (trdpres(at)gmail.com) as soon as possible. Space is limited–once it’s full, it’s closed!
2017 TCS New York City Marathon Local Competitive Program
Please note that this program is open only to local runners who are already entered to run the 2017 TCS New York City Marathon.
To be accepted into this program, a runner must have achieved a qualifying time in his or her age group in a half-marathon or marathon since January 1st, 2016. Club captains must submit their athletes’ names by Friday, September 1st. If a member of your club has already run a qualifying time, please send the information as soon as you can. Please note that due to limited space, qualified applicants to the TCS New York City Marathon Local Competitive Program will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis with only the first 400 qualified applicants accepted.
The standards are identical to the 2017 TCS New York City Marathon time-qualifying standards.
The qualifying standards are as follows:
MEN
Age group / Marathon time / Half-Marathon time
18–34 2:53 or better 1:21 or better
35–39 2:55 or better 1:23 or better
40–44 2:58 or better 1:25 or better
45–49 3:05 or better 1:28 or better
50–54 3:14 or better 1:32 or better
55–59 3:23 or better 1:36 or better
60–64 3:34 or better 1:41 or better
65–69 3:45 or better 1:46 or better
70–74 4:10 or better* 1:57 or better
75–79 4:30 or better* 2:07 or better
80+ 4:55 or better* 2:15 or betterWOMEN

18–34 3:13 or better 1:32 or better
35–39 3:15 or better 1:34 or better
40–44 3:26 or better 1:37 or better
