Only a few weeks ago we thought Coogan’s would close its doors for good this spring, but the restaurant will live to see another race. Come on out for our first club points race of the year! The Washington Heights Salsa, Blues, and Shamrocks (aka Coogan’s) 5k is this Sunday, March 4th, 9 AM start time. The cheer squad will be congregating around 8:45/9 AM on Fort Washington Ave. between 183rd/184th streets. It’s about midway up the course and pretty close to the A and the 1 subway lines. The following Res Dogs will be running:

As is tradition, we will head to Coogan’s after the race for brunch. $25 donation gets you a wristband for all-you-can-eat brunch, and I believe at least one adult beverage. They’ll accept cash or credit, and you can buy the wristband in advance at the restaurant.

As of now, the weather report for Sunday is cloudy and mid-30s (probably a bit colder in the morning), but don’t let that deter you – dress warmly and see you Sunday!!

Hi, all! Here’s an updated list of Res Dogs registered to race this weekend. If you’re running and not listed below, please let Andrea and me know. It’s come to my attention that when registering for a race in the NYRR app you must select your team from the drop-down menu (it’s not saved in your account in the same way as when you register on the website). I can be sure you are team-affiliated before Sunday and Andrea will make sure you’re on the cheer squad list. And please wear your TRD gear or red so people can spot you!
