Yes it is that time. Chicago training starts today : ) Here is this weeks workouts. The full Chicago and New York marathon plan will be posted by the end of the week. If you are running Chicago or any other marathon that is close to the first week of October and are planning on following our plan please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org so that I can get you on an email chain.
Tuesday July 10th
Meet: Engineers gate at 7PM
Workout: 1 mile warm up 3-5 x 1200m at MGP (marathon goal pace) 400m jog recovery
Where: we will be starting them at the 400 mark behind the Met (approximately 84th street east drive)
Thursday July 12th
Meet: Engineers gate at 7pm
Workout: 1 mile easy, 3 miles at MGP, 1 mile easy
Where: We will be doing the 5 mile loop of the park
We will continue to have regular speed workouts on Wednesdays for those not doing Chicago training.
