Last few attempts at the track have been rained out but looks like we should be good to go tomorrow!!
Where/When:
East 6th St track meeting at 7:30pm.
Workout:
2 lap warm up w/ strides
2-3 sets of 400m/600m/400m @ 5k effort (a pace you could sustain in a race about 20′ long)
1 minute standing rest after the 1st 400m and 600m.
2 minutes standing rest between sets
4x 200m fast on 45 seconds standing rest
To get to the track from uptown I recommend subwaying to Union Square (4, 5, 6, N, R, W, Q) or 14th/7th (1, 2, 3 trains) from there it is 1.4 or 1.9 mile jog over to the track. Recommend giving yourself an extra 5 minutes to get to the track as there are lots of traffic lights as you run across town.
