Hi all!
I’m excited to announce that tomorrow is the start of our official training for the Brooklyn Half Marathon tomorrow at MNR. We have over 30 of us planning to join the training with goals ranging from ‘making it to the bar in Coney Island without their legs falling off’ to ‘setting PRs’ and with planned/goal paces ranging from over 2:00 to close to 1:20. It’s a great cross section of our club and there should be plenty of options for people to have others to train alongside during the next 10 weeks.
MNR:
Tomorrow’s run is meant to be an easy and consistent effort.
Post MNR
After MNR during our post race food/drinks at Dorrians we’ll have a quick chat and Q&A about what the training will entail the next 10 weeks. Please keep in mind that while we’re gearing the training towards the Brooklyn Half
I will be posting the full plan with explanations of the structure, pacing definitions and locations for certain workouts once we’ve reviewed as a group tomorrow evening so the info is available for anyone training remotely. In addition to the entire plan and similar to what Gabe has done in the past for marathon training each week I’ll post the details for the upcoming week and your Wednesday speed leaders will continue to post the Wednesday workouts too. #overcomminication 🙂
Hope to see everyone tomorrow at and after MNR!
Pete
