Let’s begin here: This is the first Wednesday night workout of 2019 beginning before sunset (737p). So yippee for that!
We’re strengthening our running this week on the Lower Loop with mile repeats (or, if you choose, 1,609-meter repeats). Whether you are running BKN Half or working toward general fitness, this workout is an excellent transition from the shorter distances of recent weeks to stretch our legs as spring blossoms.
We will meet at 730p at the usual spot, the Southern Pump House bridge on The Reservoir. The warmup will be down to East Drive and 72nd Cross Road. If you are late or it is more convenient, we will meet you at that intersection.
A: 3x 1 mile at hard effort on 2-minute jog or standing recovery (your choice)
B: 5x 1 mile at half-marathon goal pace on 2-minute jog recovery
Per usual I am happy to safeguard backpacks, fluid bottles, extra layers and grilled cheese sandwiches. See you Wednesday night!
