C’mon out and spend Valentine’s Day evening with your fellow Res Dogs in a timed workout: 4×8 minutes at midway between your 5k and 10k goal paces, with your choice of a stationary recovery or a 2-minute light jog recovery.
We will meet at the Southern Pump House on the Reservoir at 730p, and while we cannot guarantee views of the crescent moon we can guarantee we’ll start from the East Drive crosswalk, near the East 85th entrance (just north of The Met). We will run out-and-back to the north for the first pair, then out-and-back to the south.
Typically this workout would have stationary recoveries, but it might seem a bit too cold to stand around (temps in the 40s are pleasant, but still … ). If you opt for the 2-minute light jog recovery, keep it easy to promote a full recovery and allow maximum effort during the repeats.
As with all workouts, happy to answer questions and help modify the workout to suit your needs!
