Big first night in a big first week!
We begin folding Brooklyn Half training into most of our outings with a program Peter created with guidance from the 35+ Res Dogs who responded to the recent survey. Thanks to everyone who answered those questions!
Per Peter, each Wednesday we’ll run shorter and faster intervals, alternating weeks between track workouts and workouts on rolling hills in the park. While these workouts are devised for BKNH, they remain ideal for everyone and can be modified to all abilities.
We will meet at 730p at the usual spot, the Southern Pump House bridge at the Reservoir. If it is more convenient or you are late, meet us at The Boathouse at the bottom of Cat Hill at 740p.
Please warm up adequately for this workout! Peter’s plan suggests 1-2 easy miles before meeting at 730p.
The workout:
2-3xCat Hill at hard effort, then
4x800m at half-marathon goal pace on 1-minute jog recovery, then
2-3x Cat Hill
I am happy to watch backpacks, extra layers, fluid bottles and chocolate delicacies. Bring your watch!
Brett
