We’ll meet tomorrow at 7:00pm behind the Met for another round of Speed!
During this workout, we’re going to work on what happens once the gas is about to run out ⛽️.
The workout:
4 x 800 meters at threshold pace with 400 meters recovery
4 x 200 meters at 1 mile-ish pace with 200 meters recovery
A note from the coaches:
This set is designed to work your ability to finish fast after a hard, sustained effort. The threshold set will produce the kind of stress you’ll feel at mile 10 in a half, and the 200m reps require additional muscle recruitment to produce high-end speed at the end of workout. Make sure you get some carbs in before and after!
