Week Two Olympics is a basketball shoot out. After our usually MNR loop, head to Ryan’s Daughter for a bball shoot out on their arcade game. Remember, all participants get points!
PLEASE NOTE: Ryan’s Daughter doesn’t have food so you can grab something on the way to the bar to way there or bring a couple dollars as we will be ordering pizza (pizza and bball, what could be better)!
WEATHER: About 30 degrees
WHAT: Monday is our biggest group run and most social run. Groups run in pace groups from 10 min/mile down to 7-6 min/mile. Choose a run of 4 or 5 miles
WHEN: 7:30 pm
WHERE: Central Park, nearest to Engineer’s Gate on east side at 90th street and 5th Avenue (just across the street from the Guggenheim).
COURSE: head north on east drive; cross park at 102nd street transverse. On west drive, head south. At 72nd street transverse, choose either to cross the park (for a 4 mile loop), or opt to continue on east drive to the park’s lower loop (5 mile option). Whichever you choose, once you are on the east side drive again, head north and finish where we started!
POST RUN FUN: Ryan’s Daughter, 350 E. 85th street between 2nd and 1st ave.
Mini Notes:
This is a fun run. Some people are in recovery and some are not – we welcome you all. We do ask that y’all please do your best not to leave any of your fellow pace group members running by him/herself unless they ask you to. If you decide to cut out early, before returning to the start/finish, we ask that you tell at least one runner who is completing the run, so that they can tell us. Also, Dogs run in packs. This means that we can sometimes run wide. We ask that you please keep to the left of the double white lines (& stay on the dirt by the tree at our meet-up spot), so that there is room for other Central Park enthusiasts
