Recruiting for new Officer postion -- web editor

Love websites/writing/design/tech?! If so, consider volunteering your time for the club!

We are launching a new website shortly (sorry to anyone who loves our current old-school look) and will need some help in keeping it up-to-date. Most of the content will be evergreen, but we’ll need someone to periodically update content, edit blogs (once we set that up), work with our web tech to troubleshoot any issues we might encounter and generally take an interest in the content and helping us make it the best site we can. We see this to be as much a content-focused position as a tech one—and if you’re interested in both aspects, great!

Web Editor

This is a Club Officer position and requirements include:
- Dues-paying member of the club for at least 6 months.
- Interest in web design and/or communications.
- Writing and/or editing experience (professional experience not required but facility in writing is key).
- Knowledge of HTML and/or web content management systems (especially WordPress, which is the platform for our new site) is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to work with club members to generate new content and liaise with current tech consultant to respond to and resolve any tech issues.
